Faster, More Profitable Instalaçãos With Hunter's Full-Line Residential Package

When it comes to installations and service calls, time is money. The more time you spend putting in a new system, or having to return to a site to fix an existing one, the less time that's available for other jobs. No wonder contractors want to work with systems that are the quickest and easiest to install, while boasting the most reliable performance and the least amount of maintenance.

No wonder contractors want to work with Hunter irrigation systems.

"We have been buying PGP® for years, but tended to use the competition's products to round out a system," said Steve Battis)ton of Hydro-Tech in the Washington, D.C. area. "But a couple years back, when the new products were introduced, we decided to try Hunter's Pro-Spray® and Pro-C."

"We were so pleased with both that we made the switch over to Hunter sprays and controllers. This year, we made the move in valves, going with PGV Jar-Top. Now we're a 100% Hunter installer and we've never been more satisfied."

Hydro-Tech is just one of many. Contractors and designers all across the country are choosing to go full line with Hunter. For the best residential system on the market, think in terms of "P" – as in premier...performance...profits.

That's P – as in PGP, Pro-Spray, PGV and Pro-C.

PGP: The World's #1 Rotor

The PGP continues to be the world's best-selling gear-drive rotary sprinkler. It's the easiest to adjust and most versatile rotor on the market.

"What got us sold is that they are reliable,"said Stacey Werner from Tryon Creek Landscaping in Tigard, Oregon.

"When you install a PGP, you just know they are going to work. First time, every time."

The PGP is a product that has set the standards for an entire industry.

Look at the competition's rotors and you'll see features that were originally created by Hunter and were first included on the PGP. Quiet and reliable gear-driven design, a full 4-inch pop-up stroke, interchangeable nozzles, the industry's strongest retraction spring, "through-the-top" and "wet or dry" adjustment.

The list goes on. A variable stator that keeps rotation speed consistent regardless of nozzle size or pressure. A large dirty water screen that will put an end to nozzle clogging. An integral rubber cover that's designed specifically to keep dirt out.

"Why would we go with 'second best' or some cheap imitation?" said Werner. "There's no better product to build a residential system around than PGP."

Pro-Spray®: Faster, Cleaner Installs

If you're looking for a time-saving product, look no further than Pro-Spray, the high quality, professional-grade spray head that quickly became one of Hunter's biggest selling items.

Exclusive body ribs for more stability in loose soils, a heavy duty retraction spring, and an extra thick body and cap make it rugged enough to stand up to the needs of a professional contractor.

But what has really made this product such a favorite is how easy it is to use.

First off, the Pro-Spray is compatible with all industry standard female threaded nozzles, including Hunter's own extensive line-up of adjustable, fixed and specialty nozzles. And the sprinkler features a ratcheting riser that allows you to make quick arc alignments even while the head is operating.

Yet the best example of easy is the spray's pop-top flush plug. During flushing operations the flush plug is designed for positive riser pop-up, as water pressure opens the flap to permit controlled directional flushing that cleans the system. The plug then closes and, while in the retracted position, the spring loaded, self-sealing mechanism prevents debris from entering the riser.

"Just grab the ring and pull up the riser," said Gus Collier of Collier & Ramsey in Richmond, Virginia. "Instalaçãos are quicker, service calls are cleaner. Pro-Spray is a big reason why we made all of our systems 100 percent Hunter."

PGV Jar-Top: No Valve is Easier to Access

Unlike the traditional bonnet design that requires a screwdriver for opening to gain access to the inner workings of the valve, the PGV Jar-Top simply unscrews.

All the product features and the performance quality are exactly the same as every other PGV valve – 150 PSI rating, heavy duty solenoid, rugged diaphragm and support to prevent stress failure. Only the bonnet design is different. Plus the PGV Jar-Top parts are compatible with other PGV models.

"If you get any debris in the valve during start-up, you can clear it in seconds," said Todd Kern of Kern Water Systems in Sarnia, Ontario. "And a manual bleed doesn't get you all muddy. The Jar-Top version is such a breeze we made them the majority of our PGV purchases."

The PGV Jar-Top is available in 1" female threaded, 1" slip x slip, 1" male x barb (choice of ", 1" or 1" barb), and 1" male x male; all models are available either with or without flow control.

Pro-C: Easy Stock, Easy Sell Controller

Designed for the professional market of residential and light commercial projects, the Pro-C has proven to be easy to use, easy to expand and easy to inventory, making it a hit with contractors.

"It's the heart of our all-Hunter system," said Alan Cherry of Alan Cherry Irrigation in Panama City, Florida. "The Pro-C is a snap to program and, because it's modular, it can grow with a landscape's growing needs. Best of all, it has tremendously reduced the number of items we need to inventory – two models of controllers, two sizes of modules. That's it!"

In all, with Pro-C, there are only four different units to stock: indoor cabinets, outdoor cabinets, and 3- and 9-station modules. Starting with a base model of 3 stations and simply by adding modules, the Pro-C can expand up to 15 stations.

"The unit is loaded with features and is so easy to program. Self-diagnostic protection helps us spot any short circuits, while the superior surge protection and non-volatile memory has made service calls we used to get after every thunderstorm and lightning strike a thing of the past," added Cherry. "And because we also use a handy ICR remote control, we eliminate all the walking back and forth on service calls and make our crews even more efficient."

Save time and be more profitable with Hunter's residential products, like Tryon Creek Landscaping does.

"We spend less time putting in each new installation," said Tryon's Stacey Werner, "and all that time we save adds up to more time available to handle new jobs we wouldn't normally have had time for. All thanks to Hunter professional-grade products."
