A Winning Combination of Products Working in Harmony to Form an Unrivaled SystemJohn, Paul, George, and Ringo have nothing on Hunter. The musical legends may have a leg up on your favorite irrigation company when it comes to crafting classic tunes, but when you’re looking for the highest quality combination of products to create an irrigation system, Hunter has its own Fab Four. No other irrigation manufacturer offers such an unbeatable blend of trusted and proven products as Hunter’s quality quartet of rotors (PGP®), controllers (Pro-C), sprays (Pro-Spray®), and valves (PGV). So don’t mix products from different brands in a Helter Skelter fashion and say I Should Have Known Better…install exclusively Hunter systems Eight Days a Week. Rotors:The World’s #1 Choice, PGPLook at virtually any rotary sprinkler from any irrigation manufacturer and you’ll see features that were originally created by Hunter and were first included on the PGP. Interchangeable nozzles, a full 4-inch pop-up stroke, the industry’s strongest retraction spring, quiet and reliable gear-driven design, “from-the-top” and “wet or dry” adjustment…these were all Hunter firsts. But that’s not all. PGP also includes an integral rubber cover designed specifically to keep dirt out, a variable stator that keeps rotation speed consistent regardless of nozzle size or pressure, and a large dirty water screen that will put an end to nozzle clogging. And, with 19 different nozzle choices, you’ll be able to select from a wide range of flow rates, radii, and precipitation rates, making it possible to cover all landscape sites and plant types from turf to ground cover. There are even low-angle nozzles to make big slope problems seem small and resolve problems at windy sites. With its host of patented features, high degree of versatility and durability, plus Hunter’s years of experience in gear-drive technology, it’s no wonder PGP remains the world’s best selling rotor. Controladores:The Modular Pro-CAs today’s landscapes continue to get more complex and a wide array of watering restrictions demand the need for better irrigation, the Pro-C has proven itself a worthy solution. The Pro-C is modular, which means it can be expanded from a base unit of 3 stations to as large as 15 stations, simply by adding station modules to configure it to the desired size. Modularity not only allows you to customize the product to the particular size you need, it also helps maintain a simplified inventory. Now, you no longer need to stock a whole array of different size controllers. You simply need to keep on hand just four items: indoor and outdoor Pro-C base units, and 3-station and 9-station plug-in modules. Pro-C offers ease of operation combined with a full complement of features, including 3 independent programs each with up to 4 start times, long station run times, interval watering, true odd/even or day of the week scheduling, an “event day off” feature, superior surge protection, and a self-diagnostic short circuit detection system. Plus, a removable front panel puts desktop programming right in your hands. Rounding out the numerous features of the Pro-C are a heavy-duty locking plastic cabinet, Hunter’s “one touch” manual start and rapid advance, and the unit’s compatibility with all models of Mini-Clik weather sensors and Hunter remote controls. Sprays:Contractor-Friendly Pro-SprayIn designing the Pro-Spray, Hunter matched the most desirable features found in the industry’s most popular spray heads. Hunter then went one better and included features that improved upon them. The Pro-Spray’s heavy-duty ABS construction provides more stability in loose soils and strengthens it against heavy traffic, while the body cap is built strong to resist stress cracking in high pressures and extreme temperatures. The grit-resistant wiper seal prevents both stickups and flow-by leakage, allowing heads to be run on low pressures. Hunter’s unique “pull ring”’ flush plug design provides directional flush, while keeping dirt from re-entering the line after flushing. And Pro-Spray offers the only field-installable check valve, to add when needed for specific heads to prevent low head drainage. In addition, Hunter now has a superior line-up of fixed pattern nozzles with crisp, precise edges, optimum droplet size to minimize wind drift, plus a color-coded plug on top of the nozzle. Dollar for dollar, you can’t get a more rugged, more reliable, feature-filled head than a Hunter Pro-Spray. Válvulas:A PGV for Every LandscapeWith the industry’s broadest line of 1-inch professional-grade valves, the Hunter PGV is a reliable, heavy-duty performer that offers more than enough to stand up to the rigors of your customer’s site conditions. PGV is available in a complete line-up of different models, each suited to a distinctive type of landscape need. The globe configuration (Hunter’s most popular PGV model) is for use on most residential installations. The globe male x male is the choice where polyethylene pipe is desired for lateral lines. The globe male x barb (the model with international appeal) is ideal for use with new “union style” manifold tees. The PGV globe slip x slip is designed for use on residential systems where PVC pipe is used and fittings are attached with glue. And the angle model installs on top of a deep main line, allowing easy access to the valve for maintenance. All 1" PGV valves are also available in a “Jar-Top” version for maximum convenience—all it takes is a simple twist to unscrew the top of the valve. No other valve is faster or easier to service. All PGV valves feature the same heavy-duty Hunter solenoid (helps keep your SKUs low), internal manual bleed, and high-grade construction with a 150 PSI rating. The valves also feature complete diaphragm support to prevent stress failure and include “captive” bonnet bolts and solenoid plunger so no parts can be lost during servicing. Educate Early, Upsell OftenPrepare your crews for the upcoming season by educating them early on Hunter products. Be sure your crews are aware of all the features and benefits of each line and how these products have been engineered to complement each other with optimum, lasting performance. And don’t forget to upsell. Include Accu-Set™ pressure regulation on PGV valves, suggest the addition of a rain sensor to a system, or even tout the virtues of a handy quick coupler that your customers can have installed near their driveway to wash cars, ATVs, or boats. PGP, Pro-C, Pro-Spray, and PGV. Hunter’s Fab Four. So solid a combination you’ll want to install them Here, There, and Everywhere. |
