Got an ICV? Regulating the Pressure is EZ!

Take a look at the article "Accu-Set™ Takes the Pressure Out of Selecting the Right Valve" and you'll understand the importance of a pressure regulator when installing sprinklers at commercial sites that have high incoming water pressure.

Quite often on these types of sites, however, valves will be located a great distance apart and a system pressure regulator won't work properly due to the variances in pressure that occur in long pipe runs. The Accu-Set pressure regulator, an option available on all Hunter ICV valve models, has been designed to provide just the solution for such a situation.

The Accu-Set can be factory installed whenever purchasing ICV valves or you can do the easy field installation on to existing ICV valves in a few simple steps:

Installing the Accu-Set Pressure Regulator

  1. Remove the solenoid from the Hunter ICV irrigation valve. (Also remove the flow control knob on the 1" ICV.
  2. Thread the solenoid onto the Accu-Set.
  3. Before threading, align the Accu-Set over the solenoid seat and position the Schrader valve portion of the Accu-Set towards the flow control handle.
  4. Thread the Accu-Set into the solenoid area of the ICV.

Remove the solenoid from the Hunter ICV irrigation valve. Thread the solenoid onto the Accu-Set.

Turn the clear dial on the top of the Accu-Set until the arrow underneath the clear dial is pointing to the desired downstream pressure.Setting the Accu-Set Pressure Regulator

  1. Turn the clear dial on the top of the Accu-Set until the arrow underneath the clear dial is pointing to the desired downstream pressure.
  2. The white colored scale is for "PSI," the yellow colored scale is for "bar."
