The enhancement of existing products and the introduction of new ones are part of an ongoing process at Hunter - something we call "continuous improvement." The latest example of these efforts can be found in Hunter's I-20 Ultra rotor, a great selling residential and light commercial rotor that now offers new features. This Tech Tip focuses on how these improvements (which can be found on all models: shrub, plastic-riser pop-up, and stainless-riser pop-up) can benefit both you and your customers.

FloStop®

This new feature allows stoppage of flow through an individual head while the remainder of the system is running. FloStop allows the user to completely shut off the water flow through an individual sprinkler for nozzle changes or arc adjustments or through any sprinklers in areas that are simply too wet. The FloStop socket can be easily found on top of the sprinkler and easily adjusted with the Hunter adjustment wrench.

Standard and Low Angle Nozzles

The new I-20 Ultra nozzles come with a rack that includes eight standard (25º trajectory) and four low angle (13º trajectory) nozzles - with the latter providing the perfect solution for slopes, low hanging trees and windy areas. All these nozzles provide remarkably uniform distribution, plus the new square top design makes them easy to install. A tab on the nozzle makes them quick and simple to remove, as well.

Nozzle Identification

The I-20 Ultra nozzle numbering system has been changed to make it easier to identify the flow without the use of a performance chart. All nozzles come with the flow size stamped on them for easy identification.
